Small Xpango question Re; referals

Hi, i just wanted to check something. If i refer someone to Xpango via my link but encourage them to view the testimonials before they sign up (to convince them of the genuine-ness) i'm guessing that that even if they sign up after viewing they will still be counted as my referal??

There's no chance of them not being tracked properly if they go via my link, view testimonials and THEN sign up is there??

I wouldn't have thought that would be a problem but i just wanted to check.

Also, any news on when the whole being able to contact your sign ups thing is going to be up and running??

Thanks guys.

when they sign up i think they have to put your referral id in the field asking for it , thats what i had to do but i dunno if it works like that when you give someone your link , i would be interested to know that too!

taht is the case!!! There is a way to give it as a referral link... but its not available on the site... maybe Mr Xpango could sort that out!!

The way to get it.... lots of rep and thanks please.. is to send yourself an email using the site temlate.. then cut and paste it from the html

I think this is similar to what you are alluding to, there are banners on the site where you copy and paste them to your site or whatever but add your order ID where it says "#your ref here#". I think they are in the Webmasters section and there are different types for different products.

The few people that i did get to sign up must have done it through my link that i managed to work out from the above because i never gave them my ID. They could have worked it out from the link if they wanted to but i'm guessing they just went via the link.

But still when Mr Xpango comes on if he could give a definitive answer whether they will still track if they view the testimonials etc. before they sign up that would be great.

I had nothing question for him too but i can't remember what it was which is really annoying. 26 and losing my memory. Terrible.

Wish you hadn't said that, i reckon in about 2-3 years i will be. The hair is slowly receding.

Maybe the lack of brain insulation is why it's getting harder for me to remember things.

Well I have a domain name which links to my link with the ref number (taken from the email as said above) so surely I must be getting refs from that?

Re: Small Xpango question Re; referals

Hi Guys,

Whilst getting slightly side-tracked by the hair talk, I will try to answer you on the Referral Link issue!

Ok, firstly, if a person you refer via a your referral link visits the website, our system will track this, no matter which page they visit, or any number of pages they visit before the register.

Even if they leave the site and come back, it will normally track this too.

I will check on the Referral Link visibility on the website, I know that when you register, your Referral ID is in big bold letters!

Your link should look like this;

:: Xpango - Get the Latest Gaming Consoles, Mobile Phones & MP3 Players for Free! :: (Your Referral ID here)

A person only has to enter your ID, if they don't visit via and link and there is a box on the registration form with a space for them to do so if need be.

Hope that helps, the contact Referrals area is still in development (sorry! shouldn't be much longer).

Thanks

Sam - Xpango Customer Services
