Disappearing Referrals

Has anyone else experienced this on Xpango?

basically I got a new referral, they appeared on my non active referrals list, then when I checked the list the next day they were gone! I probably wouldn't have noticed but It was someone I knew, if I didn't just imagine them in the first place and this isn't a one off then it makes me seriously worry about how many others may have disappeard.

Hi Lachie,

I'm told that one of our support staff has emailed you about this and is investigating for you. As mentioned above, I would have thought it might be because the person you referred deleted their order, but we will get this sorted for you.

Best regards

Re: Disappearing Referrals

No, it is me Lach13 is talking about.....

I changed my order to a PS3 then completed the order....

Oh, and btw I still have not recieved credit for the offer!

I will be a bit miffed if this doesnt go right, especially as I am heavily promoting your site on another forum... including arguing with forum mods

Thumbs down

Re: Disappearing Referrals

IV'E LOST ANOTHER ONE!? it's completely unfair if you loose a referral just because they change their item, If a person changes their item I would say they are more likely to go on and activate their account!, I'm sure not other sites do this, not happy at all

Re: Disappearing Referrals

Guys,

As mentioned above - we are looking into this. We were not aware of customers being able to lose referrals and this does appear to be an isolated case. Please be patient while we investigate this.

Thanks

Re: Disappearing Referrals

Hey the_icks,

Just a quick update, I'm told that your 6 Credits should be appearing on your account very shortly, so check a little later and they should be there.

Response to the other issues, coming below....

Thanks

Re: Disappearing Referrals

Hi Lachie,

Just to confirm that the_icks has been added to your Referral list again and you have been credited for the referral.

Secondly, we've been looking into the missing Referrals situation and from our testing, you won't lose a Referral (yellow) if the customer changes their gift selection.

At this point, we think it may occur if a customer you refer deletes their order, or deletes their order then places a new one, rather than changing gift selection.

We think this is why this is such a rare occurance as it would appear that most people will simply change their gift selection, rather than deleting their order.

The_icks - do you recall if you deleted your order?

Thanks for your help here guys, we are trying to get to the bottom of this and fix it!

Best regards

Richard - Xpango Customer Services

All sorted, I do not recall deleting my order, but I did switch from mp3 - games so that might have done it!!
