Question

What makes a good network?

Ok, so it's not quite the Million Dollar Question, but we are interested to know your opinions...

In order of importance, what are the key factors that are most important to you when using a network?

- Customer Service
- Speed of Crediting
- Gift Delivery Time
- Range of Gifts
- Network Reputation
- Range of Offers

.....and any others that you would throw into the hat?

Let us know what you think, your opinions will help us to improve our network and I'm sure other networks will read this too...

Thanks

I'm not sure I can tell you what makes a good network but I can tell you what makes a bad one...

Hiding behind your "terms and conditions"

refusing credit because someone was on AOL, or because you referred a friend who lives in the same uni building as you, or because you did blockbuster years ago, forogt and triend to do the lovefilm offer, ok if you don't get the credit then you can't pass it on but at least don't put the guy on hold and then answer every support question by quoting your Ts&Cs.

and if someone gets 85 greens while working on an ipod nano, at least offer him something else for his effort.

I presume this had happened to you...but tbh, the reasons you mentioned are all perfectly valid for putting someone on hold though. I don't really see your point tbh

Outta interest, which site is it?

Re: What makes a good network?

no not really just generally what i've picked up from others complaints over the time i've been here. I just hate networks that put all their effort into trying to stop you suceeding, if you've made a genuine mistake, or if someone just happens to share an IP beause of a local proxy, or because of uni or work, or your friend cheked his account while at your house, these are not good enough reasons to screw someone out of their gift.

A network should always always work with someone having problems to try and resolve them, same IP can you proove different addresses, maybe fax a utility bill over, that kind of thing, don't just put people of hold and tell them where to stick it.

Re: What makes a good network?

Some good comments guys, keep them coming!

I would add that in response to the above - Xpango will always make a concerted assist our customers when it comes to customer support, especially in the event of offers not Crediting, we appreciate how frustrating this can be and are currently working on a number of new developments to reduce manual Credit requests, which is obviously a pet hate for everybody!

Thanks

Re: What makes a good network?

Hi

Earlier this year I received an iPod Nano 4GB from Xpango and have recently decided to try for an Xbox 360 Premium.

I think Xpango is the best network I have dealt with. The majority of my experience with Xpango has been fantastic. I understand that running this site must take a lot of time but I'd like to point out an area for improvement. The frequency of updates. I recently emailed Xpango support asking how often updates to credits etc are made. I was told approx 3 times per week. I have been waiting a week now for several credits to come through from completed offers. I know the offers state credits are normally added within 7 days but I just feel more regular updates to the site would improve the experience.

I would definitely recommend this site to anyone. Keep up the good work Xpango!!

A fantastic site, which I have recommeneded to friends and colleagues. However, like Neil, I have been waiting several days for credits to be updated on offers I have completed. I feel that a good start to improving the service would be to increase the frequency of updates.

Re: What makes a good network?

Offers have to be top of my list. If you don't get people signed up then everything else is irrelevant.

I'm with Bruffterman when it come to I.P. addresses. What if three of my work colleagues sign up using their own personal details but maybe all from office pc's? Why should that potentially result in accounts going on hold?

It's certainly not an issue for Giveaway but what line do Xpango take for example?

Re: What makes a good network?

I think there is quite a good range of offers on Xpango, which includes free trials such as Which? and Blockbuster. I think referrals are much more likely to sign up and complete an offer now you don't have to buy a product as well.

I'm waiting for credits for some offers I did a couple of weeks ago at the moment. I'm sure this isn't a problem at Xpango's end but it is a bit frustrating. I have just emailed Customer Support on the matter so will be good to see how quickly this can be dealt with

neil, you've obviously used xpango alot, how quickly would you say offers are usually credited?

this is what I think makes a good network, quick (effortless) crediting!

It can vary. Some offers I have had credited within 24 hours, others can take over 7 days. On average though I've found the majority are normally credited in about 3 days.
