Average amount of referrals per website

I am wondering about how much referrals a month you get from the website you own. I have a website but i am not sure if i am getting the amount of referral every one else is benefiting from.

Who is this aimed at?! Everyone gets a different amount of referrals per month depending on:

Where they rank in google
How many keywords they rank well for
How well their website converts reds to greens
How specialist or general the site it

It's far too general a question. A lot of people have sites and a lot of people get very little from them. A few people have managed to work their way to the #1 spots in google and bring in a fair few referrals.

MJ10 i have a website how do you get it ranked in google i have seo so i put in all the key words that am after i also have a online guide from the people i got me website off so i have done google directory listing done google adsence but the adsence there is nothink coming up on my website its been 4 weeks now and do you know any way the site can pay for its self ??

Seo isn't something you have, it's something you work at for a long time!

on my dash board on my site it says seo so when you go on it all it dose is let you improve your words for the pics and search part i just need a bit more help as in getting it ranked

You cannot simply go out and buy SEO. The package it seems you bought simply helps point out the obvious (use keywords in your ALT tags for pictures, use META data etc)

In order to get your website ranked well in google you need to do so many other things over a long period of time.

1: Search and read this forum. There are thousands of tips.
2: Search and read google. The are millions of tips and guides.
3: Try searching "SEO for beginners" "SEO for dummies" "basic SEO practice"

That should get you going, but if you want to do it well then be prepared to do a lot of reading!
