Watching for domains becoming available

There's a couple of domain names I have my eye on so I can park my personal website there and have a proper email instead of an ISP one. However the ones I'd like are taken.

Is there anything that will monitor the domains and if they are allowed to expire register them for me. Or do I need to do it manually.

LcLive has a spectacular aura about
I think you might need to do it manually can you imagine the chaos otherwise.. Websites dropping and changing like the wind.. Someone buying eBay.com for example (Although extremely unlikely :P)

What domains are you after out of interest?

Manually I'm afraid, once a domain has expired i think it is still un-purchasable for 14days (if i remember rightly!)

Search the site in who.is and you will see when it expires.

you have to wait around 2 months. the owner get a grace period etc. there are companys you can pay to keep an eye on them and even purchase them for you when the become available. there is a fee however as expected

I totally forgot about this thread

Thought it would have to be manually. I'm after the domain number45.(something) but .com, .co.uk and .net are all taken. Two of them expire this year though so I was hoping the owner might now notice and I'd be able to snap one up.

The owner will get inundated with emails about it, trust me! I've had about 5 emails in the last 2 months telling me to renew my domains which expire today... and I can still renew them in a few more weeks if I want!

I'm kinda hoping the .net site owner will just decide not to bother renewing. They seemed to start a site but haven't finished it yet so I'm hoping they decide it wasn't worth the bother (or not know how to renew).
