 | Bought a domain!! :DHey guys.. I am now the proud owner of... A domain!!  Pretty chuffed to be honest.. but... I am a complete noob at all this :/ Obviously i'll need it hosted... Anyone have any recommendations? Design as well (ugh.. Don't get me started.. haven't a clue :P haha) That's about as far as my current knowledge stretches... | I'd say host in in hostgator. use the coupon "WSOHOSTING"to get the first month hosting for $0.01. for designing use wordpress. because the domain you bought is nearly an EMD (exact match domain) it won't be has hard to rank as some people might say. goggz1888 and I got an EMD website to page 1 of google in 6 days. google adwords says the competition for that keyword is 'high'. so I can offer some help if you want.

| Yeah couldn't believe my luck if i'm honest.. I just wanted a nice simple domain... and there's something about the .co domain's that i just love the look of! SEO.. Yes well.. been reading up on it a little bit thanks to some pages PM'd by a few members on here! Not the sort of thing I can scan over.. Gonna have to dedicate some time I think 'EMD' that's a new one - thanks for the info... That should work in my favour then hopefully Everyone here seems so helpful... Hence why I had the confidence to go ahead and jump on the website wagon! |

| wordpress is not a windows application. you install wordpress on the sever (on your hosting). if you like, once you get hosting I can install wordpress for you.

| Wow.. Thanks all for the help! Anyone who has seen the threads i've started on here would be aware of the sort of style I would want a website of mine to look like :P :P haha... I probably won't be getting hosting or starting with it at all until the new year... Unemployment causes big problems when it comes to monthly outgoings... :/ Hopefully will get some permanent work soon and all systems go :P |

| Ahhh there is a lot of competition you're right :/ Only thing that puts me off.. I'm not setting out to steal anybody's thunder.. Just a nice website that might hopefully get me a steady flow of traffic(then referrals of course:P) |
