![]() | Few Website Ideas....Hey guys... Everyone here seems to know their stuff and always be up for giving a bit of help.. I've been looking into buying a domain name and getting a little website up and running... (If anyone had a simple template I could use maybe? Don't wanna pay the earth for an amazing looking design!) I want to use it to get referrals for now (but maybe get involved in a bit of affiliate marketing in time) but of course, a website without traffic may as well not even be there so that is also where i'm a bit of a newbie 'Getting ranked in Google' i've seen posted around here.. I think a bit of common sense would tell me what it means but how is it accomplished? Before I invest into getting a website for myself, be good to have all the info I need under my belt :P |

| What to put... | Look into SEO, backlinking, website marketing etc. if you are interested in getting your website known.

You could search the 'net for free CSS/HTML templates like the ones from Styleshout or you could pay for a better design from places like ThemeForest. The paid ones can be as little as $10. Wordpress themes are a little more expensive though if you go down that route. Just make sure you do a lot of reading before jumping in feet first

| What to put... | Of course you need to do some research, you don't learn without it

Images will need to be replaced with your chosen images and text will need to be rewritten. You will need to know (or at least have an idea of) what certain bits of HTML & CSS mean and how to manipulate them to make the page work. Missing a simple ; or a > somewhere can break a page and really mess with your mind while you try and find the problem For example, open that ThemeForest page and hit CTRL-U and you will have an idea of what you are going to have to work with.
