New wordpress blog help please

Hi, I have created a new wordpress blog. More of a website really, it's already got three pages and looks really good. However this does me no good if I have no one looking at it. I created one on blogspot too but used wordpress because of the ability to add tags to my blog.

After adding a ridiculous amount of tags, approx 10 I did a google search reasoning that since I had only just posted that mine would come up. When this didn't work I tried using my tag words followed by 'wordpress.com', still nothing. finally frustrated out of my mind I typed in my blog address, leaving out the www. and google still came up with everything but what I wanted. It is published I typed in the full address and there it is, my blog, complete with lovely pictures and everything.

I have checked that all pages and settings are 'public' so why isn't my blog been picked up. Please enlighten me, thought the whole point of tagging was it increased your chance of people actually coming across what you created.

Indexing takes time sometimes.
Type site:YOURBLOG.Com and see if anything is indexed.

Exactly like that ... No www. ... no http:// ... just as above.

Thanks, will do. I'm assuming indexing is the same as tagging? How do I tell if it is indexed and what can I do if it's not?

I apologise for being such a newbie!

You can tell if your site is indexed yet or not by typing the above...
site:yourdomainaddress.comorwhatever into a Google search.

If there are results then you are indexed, if no results then you are not.

Example (note the search string in Googles search field)...
Non indexed site...
site:myfreethingymawotsit.com - Google Search

Indexed site (one of mine)...
site:freegadget.co - Google Search

What can you do to get indexed?
Open a Google Webmaster Tools account and add your site in there.
