What's the server/hosting setup?

EDIT: Use your FTP client to find out the permissions of both the /imoosev41/images directory and the images within.

hosting is just on one.com im not sure what the server etc setup is?

how do i find out permissions on cyberduck? if its what i think it is then on all the images which where there when i downloaded the template has permission

rwxr-xr-x (755)

whilst the iMoose jpeg which works at the top is

rw-r--r-- (644)

and the .png which doesn't work is

rw------- (600)

i think your right though because the image URL http://www.imoose.co.uk/imoosev41/im...od_shuffle.png says 'FORBIDDEN'

EDIT: right clicked on image ... went to info ... permissions ... changed 'groups' to read only ... works this end? can i get a second conformation?

thanks ... need to spread

To be accessible by web:

Directories - 755
Files - 644

However, in your case it sounds like 640 works!

Could either be down to your FTP daemon configuration on-server, or your FTP client. If it's your client, some replicate the permissions of the local file when you're uploading, others have a "default permissions" setting somewhere in the Preferences. If it's on-server, I doubt you'll be able to do much about that unless you have root shell access!
