Subscription system

I was wondering if any of you knew of any good subscription scripts that would allow visitors to my site to subscribe to a mailing list.

Sort of along the same lines as Aardvark Mailing Lists.

Can do it within wordpress? So if you had some kind of link to add a widget and manage through wordpress?

I use mailchimp. you get the first 500 subscribers free and 3000 mails a month.

If you need more than that you would have to pay.

On WP there is Mailpress which is free but I have had big problems getting it to work but you may have more luck.

Also there is phplist which is a php based mailing list system which you could incorporate into any site. I used it and it is pretty easy to set up but sending the mails seems a bit cumbersome.

I've used Email Marketing Software - YMLP for a while now.

There is a cost but at least it keeps the mailing lists and sites seperate, in case of spam issues.
