Keywords

I've read ebooks after ebooks, guides but I still don't get it. They say target for good keywords. I even have a list of good keywords but what should I do with them. I have good keywords in mind too but I just don't know how to use them. So? Please?

I'll give you an example the keyword/phrase "Free ps3" gets searched according to 116 times a day, according to seobook, not sure how accurate this is though!

If you search "free ps3" in google there are 44,300,000 results!

What you want to do is find a keyword/phrase with a high search rate, but low amount of websites ranking for that term!

If you go the SEO route it means it will be easier to rank in the top 10, if you go the adwords route it means it will be cheaper to put ads in the top 10

link approach

Perhaps this one :
Code:
<a href="your website link">your keyword</a>
Put the link on high PR website to gain position in 1st page at search engine.

Though the competition is probably less than that as the number of those sites which are targeting free ps3 are fairly minimal. The majority just have the words free and ps3 on the page etc.

It may be more accurate to search for free ps3 in quotes to find who is really targetting the keyword.

Having said that, if it ranks highly without the exact term then it's still competition!

basically when targeting specific wors/phrases. you would do this

meta title your site with main keywords.. meta description and keywords using the main keywords your targeting. have the same keywords over your site in bold and underlined. have the main keywords in headers and footers too.

then when doing backlinks you want to anchor text using the same keywords your using on site.

so if someone searches free iphone. then the first part of your site title would be free iphone. same with description and meta keywrds. you want to have a keyword rich site using the words you want to target.

did that make any sense lol?

Second question: If I have a text format of all the keywords I need, can I somehow make those keywords usable in my HTML document without writing all of the keywords? Is there some code like an external stylesheet?

You mean you want to rank for 'free X' without having the phrase 'free X' on your page?

Re: Keywords

I think he means rather than type all the keywords into the meta tag, is there a code that will link to them all?

Tbh, you only want to aim for about 10 keywords. And some key words you end up ranking for that you don't mean to. For instance I'm ranking very well for £275 Amazon Voucher, even though it's only mentioned once or twice on my site and isn't in my meta tag! And I'm #13 in google!!

Use wordpress and install all in one seo plugin. In master setting you can set keyword that will apply to all page or post you made.
