Been looking at Sheer SEO, and it's really good and I like it

But the trial is only for 90 days, is there anything for free just like sheer seo where you can check your rankings, etc all that info? Because $110 to buy it is way too much in my opinion.

ditto. I love using SheerSEO and my trial due to end in about 8days

(Other than google analytics, doesn't quite show the same stuff!)

I use
SEO powersuite

It lets you check your rankings on all the major Search Engines.
Also allows you to find backlinks for your site, either by keyword, or finding the links that others have got - only on Yahoo though. You can organize the results by PR, and just select the high PR sites to comment on.

Its a really good piece of software - I've been using the free version for a few months now, don't know when it'll expire though.
