| Currently: Moderating! | Strange google result for my siteAs you know I launched QuickFreeiPhone.com recently. Submitted to google and all was fine. I just went to look at my site and did so via google. I searched "Quick Free iPhone" and was happy to see me at the top. BUT... I see a sub link to my site "Quick Free iPhone - PS3 Slim". I didn't think I'd set up PS3 via that site and I followed the link to find a 404 Error. 1: Why would google have set this up? 2: How can I update it so it doesn't show? Doesn't look good if they follow a link that doesn't work! Have a search and see for yourself! Weird!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Neither page loaded for me, not even the homepage. Edit - loading now. One answer on the PS3 side is to make a PS3 page = http://www.quickfreeiphone.com/PS3Slim.html

Hmm, true... I may get to work on one! I'm currently working on a few other sites though (including quickfreeconsoles) but I'm sure I can mock up a quick something! Even a quick redirect code - gunna have to wait til I get home this afternoon to upload it though

![]() ![]() ![]() | Did someone have that domain before you? It could be that they had a PS3 page when their site was setup, and it was indexed by Google, so now that the domain is back up Google is showing the pages still in their index. You could either set up a page that it will go to, or request the URL be removed from the Google index. I had a similar problem when I got the freeipodguide domain - I set it to point to one of my other domains, but I then had pages showing up in Google that didn't exist, but had existed previously on freeipodguide. |

Interesting to know. Did the fact it was owned before help towards rankings at all? Was it already doing well before you got it?

![]() ![]() ![]() | Don't know TBH. It was pointing to a lot of 404 pages so I removed the redirect to preserve the ranking of the site I already had. I didn't have time to look into it, or add any pages. Also, a lot of the links were to blog posts and a forum that no longer existed. |
