Does anyone us this? Is this effective?

I have received 1 review so far (which I surprisingly got a 10/10 rating).

yep used to use it , often people will give you good reviews, because that is what is expected, the mods look at poor reviews and may remove them.
you will get traffic from it but you will not get any sign ups (in my experience), and It is unlikely to improve your google ratings or anything like that, so i don't think it is useful, I removed it from my site recently
but then Arcticfox has it on his site , so maybe ask him if he thinks it is useful

I only have it there for a backlink, lol. I used to use it but then i realised that people would be doing to my site what I was doing to there's.......not really looking at the site and basically just putting any old review just to fulfil your daily requirements.

Precisely, you only get people wanting reviews for their site, they don't actually look at it.

Fair enough. Maybe if I put the words "GET FREE GIFTS" in size 90 font in red then that might get their attention.

when you review peoples websites, do you actually read them? Most of the reviews that I used to get looked like copy/paste jobs.
