1 general free stuff website or several specific to gadgets?

I wandered what you guys think about which is better in terms of greens: a general "free stuff" site or a "free iphone", "free ps3" and "free xbox"? Obviously the latter takes slightly more time and money to set up but I'm contemplating whether to continue with this or go for the "free stuff" which has a much larger search volume...

i think it's better to make a specific gift website (i have tried both) but it looks that you have more chance with SEO when you're using one specifi keyword

this is just my opinion ...

looking at google trends, "free stuff" has 8x as many hits as "free iphone" (which has the most hits for any specific item I could think of. I might try a free stuff site next if my current one works ok.

I've tried both, and had more success with the single item site rather than a multi item site.

I have a multi item site and have managed to get it ranked quite high for a few specific keywords.

It is all about the SEO and general content of the site rather than the idea behind it.

Do you think it will work as well to have several sub-domains under the same domain?

I don't have the time and money at the moment to monitor several domains.

It can do I suppose, but I'm not sure what the SEO benefits or negative effects of sub domains are. I have read about potential problems using sub domains and trying to get ranked well.
