My website, FreebieShack has been down for around a month, and I've been trying as hard as I can to get it fixed using free web hosting (000webhost, 2kmegs etc.) but had nothing but problems. Today, sgll mentioned an offer at HostGators where hosting was 75% off, and I though I'd go for it. £13 for a year's hosting is too good an opportunity to miss, and if I'm lucky, they'll have the same offer next year, meaning I'll be able to renew it for the same price

After updating the nameservers and uploading the site to my new host, it's now working fantastically, and it's another thing I don't have to worry about any more!

This, coupled with the fact that I've made another (very basic) website for free using the free .info domain (see sig), means today has been a very productive day for me, website-wise.

Here's hoping for no more problems for the next year!

Clear your cache. I had to do the same.

EDIT: No idea then, works fine for me, anyone else?

It's the same as before except I nicked the "Approved by BBC, CNN.."etc. button and stuck it on the homepage

EDIT: The sad thing is, iWeb sites are pretty horrific for SEO, but I really cba to make a normal website

On your freebieshack site, in the FAQ (which I don't believe needs a s on the end), you talk about cancelling a subscription and thats against their ToS...right? You mention it in "The Process" as well. Pretty good layout overall. How did you manage to get a free .info site?

There's a thread about getting a free .info, it's an offer on Freeola. As for the cancelling offers, I haven't updated my site since I made it (about a week after I heard about FJ), so there are things I need to update.

@Amiethest, iWeb is a program for Mac which is basically a website builder. It lets you make great looking websites, but it's really hard to change meta tags, page titles etc, and I have to use another program to do that.
