  | my first websiteHi guys/girls after spending quite some time debating wether or not to make a website.i eventually decided to give it a go, i used webs which i found easy to use. I was wondering if you could please have a look at it and give me some feedback as to be honest, i havent a clue. thank you for reading,looking forward to your opinions good or bad. | Try to make new banner as the current one doesn't seem very convincing. Also, do you need forums? People generally don't make them as eXceem is the place to discuss things.  | i think that weebly.com is better than webs i used both and i found weebly.com better and they don't put ads on your website that's great i putted mine and i'm not getting a lot from it only 13$ ^^ |

| That video at the bottom is quite negative! I know so many people that are so scared of putting their details online. The BBC Newsnight one, in my opnion, puts it in a more positive light. |

| I would suggest having a read around the forum, there is a lot of great website information. Or search Google! Search for promoting/advertising your website or getting website traffic or getting website hits or search engine optimisation.. etc etc |

| The thing is, just because you make a website, doesn't mean people are necessarily going to look at it. You want to look at spreading the word of your website across the big wide web - Put it on your MySpace/Facebook, put a link in the signature of your emails, put somebody elses website link on your page in return for your link on their website, possibly pay for facebook ads/google adwords (although I would suggest investing in a paid for domain name first - people will tend to think, surely if this guy is getting all this for free, he can atleast afford a .com or .co.uk domain name!) I wouldn't suggest investing in this before you have a good research on advertising websites and getting yourself out there - Getting regular hits and sign ups through your website takes a huge amount of dedication and persistance. (I'm nowhere near that stage yet!) I hope this helps a bit! |
