![]() | Just been researching this myself. Keywords meta tag can count against you with Google if done wrong, however MSN, Yahoo and others still use the Keywords meta tag, so if you consider ranking high in those Search Engines worth while then it's worth researching how to do them properly and keeping them in. If you are strictly after a google rank and stuff the rest then get the Keywords Meta tag out. Keep the description one however!! |

![]() | I read that most of the big search engines don't look at key words any more (Due to some sites abusing Key words) Yahoo is rumoured to be an exception though. |

| What to put... | Google may not look at your keywords but they do consider the description. However it is worth posting keywords as some search engines may still use them.

![]() | Google may consider the Meta Description tag while indexing your web page but it is recommended to write meta description properly. It is also visible in organic ranking and users also see the meta description, not only search engines. |

![]() | Google and Yahoo already announced that they are not considering meta keywords as the ranking factor, They now only using the website Title, keywords, PR, Content and back links for ranking a website into the search engine results. So i think Google in more looking at the meta keywords of a website for the ranking. |
