Please please please check the date on a thread before you post in it. Pretty big bump...

And do answer your question, not everyone can afford Dreamweaver. Plus it's a rubbish application anyway.

From a web developers's point of view, the code it produced is so yucky and anti-standards that I think it's a crime to use it.

It's fine to use it for the Code editor only (although I still think the standard Notebook-type programme is the best), so that you have the FTP features and whatnot, but using it in Design mode produces code that's practically obfuscated.

You might wonder why that matters? I mean, the people visiting your site don't see your code, right? I'm just someone who likes to meet web standards so that I can be sure that all sites I produce will look exactly the same in all browsers, and still will in 5 years' time.

Aha, I can tell you tried so hard.

The clever people would use PHP or ASP and define the referral link in a header file, which is then included where needed at every point on your site. Then all you have to do is edit the constant in the single header file to update your whole site

Do none of you know that regular notepad has always done this and most programs that can edit text. A real program to do this is Replsoft Useful Utilities with batch Replacer.

Do go ahead and create a guide detailing how to do it with those programs then.

Doesn't need em.
If someone can't follow that then they are too stupid to be using a computer.
