| iPod 60gb | If you save the file as .htaccess when you upload it to your host it may be renamed .htaccess.htaccess so you may need to rename it again when uploaded. |

Remember, not everyone will link to http//google.com but may also link to http//www.google.com | |

![]() ![]() | have you tried logging in and out of Filezilla, sometimes files that i send over disappear for me if i have been logged in for a while! As for the "internal server error" sounds like there is something wrong with your .htaccess file

![]() | yeah, tried logging out/in, no joy! i assume there is something wrong with the file, so i'd delete it, if i could see it! emailed my hosting provider, hopefully they might come up with something. thanks for the reply.

| iPod Nano 1GB | I know that my CuteFTP hides .htaccess by default, you can show it though. I've not used filezilla but I did a google and found this How to View .htaccess with Filezilla | Intrepid.com.au Hope it sorts your problem |

![]() | Or you could use your PC to make a blank .htaccess file upload and replace the current one, it wont solve the disappearing problem but it will solve the Internal Server Error.
