Since its a joint effort between 3 networks who are each equally funding this, I cant see greens being an option.

i'm perfectly happy with the prizes the networks are giving away, not that im going to win.
i think if the dealine is to be extended, it should be a month max, and thats all the changes there should be.

You know on the off chance that the deadline gets extended, I don't wanna promise that I can get an entry in because I don't finish uni til June so still have work on - Just saying because I don't wanna end up pissing anyone off, although if the extention was granted it would do me a massive favour and chances are I could snap up some shoddy video and enter

I reckon if there was a poll than those who don't want an extention because they want less entries (i.e everyone! (no offence obviously lol)) will vote for 'no' so might want to re-think this poll thing too...

my video's came out at 119mb each, taking me ages to host on youtube, and then there all pixelated on it and can't read what it says =[

Yeh, Youtube tends to downgrade the quality of anything you upload. It might be a good idea to try upload it somewhere else. Although you might need to compress it first.

i managed to get them down to around 20mb, the writing is slightly pixelated, but tis ok.

if they want raw links when it comes to the comp for direct download, then i shall upload them to an FTP site.

119mb doesnt sound too bad for lengthy clip - or was it short?

2.16 ;p, i used an mpeg1 format to reduce the size.
compressed it to a standard 29.something fps

I've only rendered 10 seconds of mine and it's 7.38mb - Vegas won't let me save directly to mp4 :@ so I'm gonna have to render the whole thing into a crappy format which'll take ages and then reconvert to mp4. I guess we've got plenty of time though as everyone's voted for May 30th.

Having said that, I just tried it with WMV and it's reduced it right down to 1.23mb.

And coincidentally that works out to 7.38mb per minute compared to the 7.38mb per 10 seconds on the other format
