EDIT: Some people may not even know it's on otherwise, and so the majority of votes would just come from friends. I think it's fairer to spread the word so that as many people as possible can honestly vote for which they think is the best

Just had another idea, Jon maybe it's an idea putting new sticky threads at the top of the Giveaway, Real Incentives, and FreebieJeebies forums letting people know the comp's on with link's to each heat's poll page?

I guess it depends on how the poll section is coded as to what members or member groups you can prevent from voting.

Thanks -0707-, just changed the image hosting website, hopefully this will sort it out. Before it seemed to be ok for a few minutes after resetting my sig here, then the pic would go - maybe it was because i was changing the url code given to me by the hosting site to the exceem forum link rather than to their website? ah well hopefully this one will stay up longer!

It may have been the hosting company was stopping direct linking to images or limiting how often it could be downloaded. I think my website host does that as signature images I'd uploaded there didn't show up in forums. Thats why I signed up for a photobucket account instead of hosting an image album myself.

Just wondering are all the votes going to be checked right at the end of the voting period or are they getting updated as it goes along? (i.e removing people newer than a week). Curious as to how accurate the polls are so far!

i woulda thought new users will be unable to vote at all so id say its accurate ...

no one after 24'th (or maybe 25'th cant remember!) cant vote in this forum, will vet them at the end of the period to make sure no same ip's voting for same member at same time etc, no members who aint been online in a long time suddenly active and voting etc

so long as it aint linked to any suspect activity (im good at tracking that) then aye it will count, for those who registered more recently they will simply get a "your not allowed to vote in this poll" error message
