Yeah, I actually only thought of it a couple of weeks ago and decided to have a go and enter. Been learning Sony Vegas as I've been doing the video.

I'm also just going to try posting my second entry which I only thought of when I couldn't sleep last night. Probably wont be accepted but I have to at least try.

3 members may be submitting videos late, when I get back from work this evening i'll start to arrange the poll's and for those who have submited in podcast size will copy to eXceems server and release a video podcase so those who use itunes can view them on the iPod to!

the 3 people who contacted me have untill tomorrow evening to submit their videos, think im going to knock the podcast idea on the head for now, though may well do it for the final poll

I know its a bit late but I'd just like to point out I think its slightly unfair these 3 people essentially get an additional 2 days to complete their videos.

They should IMO have had to send the videos to you by the same deadline as the rest of us in whichever format they had. Then if required been given extra time to re-render in the necessary format/resolution.

well 1 of them does have a valid reason, and I doubt they would attempt to cheat, the other 2 have both said they want me to host the videos, though they have yet to ask for ftp details. (the grace period was only because I have only had broadband installed today after my house move)

I'm not complaining about the grace period, not as such anyway. It just didn't occur to me until last night during my heat induced insomnia that essentially the people who were hosting on exceem were getting an extra 2 days to complete their videos because they didn't have to send you them or upload them anywhere for the original deadline (it actually occurred to me when I thought of a way to fix a bit of one of my videos, by then it was too late but if I'd decided not to host on youtube and pm'd you it wouldn't have been).

I had hoped when doing it people would have not abused it, time will tell if anyone does use the grace period or not.

Also i know the competition was only open for people who were members before a certain date but does this apply to voters too?
I think it would be a good idea to put a cap on say a week ago or something otherwise we could just rally all our mates to join up to exceem now just to vote which would be unfair.
I think that given the end result of these videos is to positively advertise the networks it should be voted for by 'true' exceem members and freebie hunters who may wish to use them themselves, thus getting the best videos the best results, rather than whoever can get the most friends to join up fresh. what do you think?
