eXceem Visitor Message Rules?

Today I noticed that my visitor greeting message had been replaced. The original greeting was as follows:

Hello,

Thank you for visiting my eXceem Profile page. If you signed up through My Site please Befriend me (to the right -->). I would like to thank you by offering advice, assistance, and graphic design free of charge.

Best of luck!

Replaced with:

Your not your not allowed to just advertise your website like that on exceem. Also bear in mind we do things for free here therefore asking people to complete an offer in return for graphics favours is not allowed as you are gaining something, it is not free.

Are we permitted to place our site links in our Sig or is that advertising? As I refer people to eXceem, I ask them to find me via profile link, when they end up there that's what they are greeted with. I'm not gaining anything as there was, is, and never will be any mention of an exchange nor a favor. Can you please clarify how you came to this conclusion rider900?

I have to agree with Paul here. You shouldn't be mentioning your site like that even if you're not actively promoting it, as it is still promoting it!

You can have your site in your signature or as a home page url (if you have a link back to eXceem). If you want to keep doing what you are doing then saying something like:

Hello,

Thank you for visiting my eXceem Profile page. If you signed up through my website please Befriend me (to the right -->). I would like to thank you and tell you that you can find advice, assistance, and graphic design free of charge on eXceem. Why not go and "introduce yourself"!

By having your site link there you are encouraging people who stumble across your profile to sign up via you.

Although the very next tab over is the About Me section which also contains my link, I think I understand the reasoning. From my site, the post entitled 'Joining eXceem Forum Is Cardinal To Your Success', along with many others, should please the reciprocation aspect. It's more the later that has me confused. Can you please give some advice on that as well?

Your original message isn't the one you quoted on the OP so don't lie on here as people don't like liars here. Your original message said you would offer graphics advice etc if people completed an offer. That is gaining something and we don't do that here, you offer things for free on exceem. We're the free community.

If you would like to discuss why I deleted your message and for me to justify my actions then feel free to PM me but changing your original message and making it look like I deleted that for no reason is lying and I take a dislike to that.

1: You can place you link in your signature or in your About Me URL.
2: You cannot offer services such as graphics or other favours as this insinuates that they may have done something for you, such as sign up via your site and visited eXceem...

Wow, uhh... not quite sure how to respond to that without loosing restraint. I don't like liars or weasles either, in fact it's a pet peeve of mine. I would ask you to please post my actual original message for better clarification.

I've tried to look for the original message so I could show you, but I can't find it now. These are the rules i'm afraid, if you don't like them well tough we all have to abide by them. I'm not moaning at all. You deleted my entire greeting that said absolutely nothing about an exchange, or favor. You then called me a liar for posting my exact greeting here. I think you may have read it wrong the first time around.

Look, as I say I am backing up Rider here. I'm not saying that anyone is lying, simply that Rider is correct in his actions and you should learn from them.

Going around in circles is not going to help the matter nor help either of you calm down.

@Rider - thank you for noticing and editing the original violation
@Live4Free - please follow the rules and follow the advice in this thread. You can always PM a mod if you want to do something but not sure if it breaks the rules.
