Sense can be installed on other phones, but it works best on HTC ones. And the price is the same lol, that's why I'm asking your opinions.

I've pretty much made up my mind, probably going to buy the Galaxy because it has a larger screen. However still wondering if the extra 256 MB of RAM in the Desire S improves performance..

I don't think so. I especially called up my bro for this issue! He owns a mobile-shop. He also told that RAM differences wouldn't matter, but what matters is the processor. Hummingbirds are said to be good at battery conservation, overclocking, stability and networking performance, while Snapdragons are said to be a bit better than Hummingbirds at gaming performance, but very unstable for overclocking. So, now, since, the price tag doesn't matter, I would recommend the Galaxy S. Now, it comes up whether the screen size matters to you or not.

P.S. HTC Desire S camera quality is said to be crappy..

The camera quality is pretty similar between the two phones, I've seen photos taken by them. Now if the Snapdragon is better for gaming, then I want that lol, I don't care that much about the overclocking. But that's not the problem, again the issue is the RAM and AMOLED that make me indecisive.

From your posts so far I take it you are a Galaxy S fanboy?

Not really, bro. If I were, I wouldn't have ever told you to get one. It's another fact that the Galaxy S is valued a lot here. Believe it or not, but some of the people here believe it's better than the S-II, I dunno why. But, Samsung is something that's considered more reliable here than HTC. Nokia is the most famous. I wouldn't mind if you really want a Nokia 1100... Anyways, the Galaxy S can be overclocked to 1.6 gHz. Even if you overclock it to 1.2 gHz, it'll give you gaming performance equivalent to Xperia Play, but, mainly, SCREEN SIZE MATTERS!!! Oh, and yeah, the RAM difference wouldn't make any, er, difference.

Pretty much made up my mind about the Galaxy S, just want to know if the Epic 4G is available outside of the US, I crave a physical keyboard...

Don't think the Epic 4G is available outside the US, just had a look. Is it exclusive to sprint? If yes then it can't be outside the US as sprint is US based.

Also i don't like the name.

lol damn that sucks

on the other hand, is swype easy to use? The only reason I want a physical keyboard is because I find it hard to type quickly on a touchscreen, however if swype works as advertised then I don't need a physical keyboard.

Haven't tried as of yet but the new beta is meant to improve it. Make sure it comes or is compatible with it first

*ahem ahem* The Swype master's here! Anyways, I've been using it for over a year. And I don't think any physical keyboard could replace the speed that you can achieve with Swype. It'll be difficult for a few days at the start when the vocabulary is small, but eventually you get the hold of it. If some word is not there in the dictionary, you just type it in with the QWERTY keyboard, and then it gets stored automatically in the vocabulary. You need to use it to actually understand how good it is. I don't think you'll regret though. Better check this out yourself: Swype | Text Input for Screens
