Firewall Blocked Google Chrome

Ok then, a really simple thing has happened, and I can't fix it!

I have defeated the virus which attacked my laptop a couple of days ago, thanks to Ryan, but now I have a new problem!

Last night Windows Firewall decided to block Google Chrome!

I am currently using IE which is goddamnawful!

Anyway, I have went to Control Panel > Windows Firewall > Change Settings > Exceptions and added Google Chrome as an accepted programme, but I still get the following message when opening Google Chrome;

This may be because your firewall or antivirus software wrongly thinks that Google Chrome is an intruder on your computer and is blocking it from connecting to the Internet.
Here are some suggestions:
Try adding Google Chrome as a permitted programme in your firewall or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted programme, try deleting it from the list of permitted programmes and adding it again.
Error 138 (net::ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED): Unable to access the network.
Any help will be much appreciated. Running Windows Vista Home fyi

Gah, I hoped it wouldn't come to that as I don't want to loose all my bookmarks etc. Hopefully it has some sort of file which stays when I uninstall which contains favourites etc :\

I THINK when you un-install chrome it asks if you want to keep your bookmarks etc.

However, are you using solely the windows anti virus or any others? It may be a firewall of another you use. Generally i would only recommend using 1 as they can conflict with each other.

Why don't you install another firewall, the Windows one is garbage isn't it?
