![]() ![]() | change in file sizeI'm writing my dissertation and in the process of finalizing the format i've transfered the file onto my iMac from my MacBookPro to get a better look at it on a bigger screen and all that... im working in Pages which is all fine, but when emailing it from my MBP to iMac the file size was 797kb. since then i've added slightly to it, not changing the word count but adding a table of contents and various other minor formatting changes. however, now when emailing back to my MBP when i upload the file its 679kb, despite the fact im sure it should be larger. word count has remained constant at 10,329 and literally nothing has changed or been deleted to suggest that a whole 67kb has been lost (which is loads for a text document) anyone shed any light on such a matter? thanks fellow nerds james

![]() | Hmmm.. that's strange. Could have to do with some compression method or file type used in your iMac which might've reduced the size. Try to do a "compare" of the documents, and see if you're missing anything! I don't know about Pages - but office has this compare documents feature! Good luck with your dissertation! |

| What to put... | Did you use the same email to transfer the file? The email may of slightly compressed to make it smaller to send.
