Website down; Why?

www.freebiehome.co.uk my website is down. Can't figure it out why, as i know little to nothing about websites. Anyone able to help? Cheers!

Registration status:
Registered until renewal date.

Yes, i just chatted with hostgator about it and they told me that. I don't understand this at all. I recently upgraded this domain with 2 years renewal up to 2012. What on earth are they doing??

Who did you purchase the domain from? I'd contact them and see whats happened. Have have you only just had the problems since renewal or has it worked since renewal?

whoever you registered the domain with has not re-registered it properly, or has since marked the domain to be dropped.

I think you may be able to do something direct via nominet, but it may cost, drop them a email/call tomorrow as well as chasing up who you registered the domain with

It's been working for the past couple of months. It just stopped working very recently for no reason to what i can see. I've emailed them a strongly worded message now hoping they will sort this out asap.

Sounds like to me like the domain host company have cut you off because you it has run out and you simply need to re-new. It seems you have host-gator on auto-renewal so they did it for you and i am guessing you bought the domain and hosting on the same day and that is why host gator has been renewed but your domain hasn't.

This appears to have been suspended directly from Nominet the uk domain registrar, more then likely because the registrant name is set to 'Home', this is in breach of their terms I believe. Please contact Nominet in regards to this.

Any .co.uk site that is registered has to be registered through Nominet no matter who you buy it from. Normally your registrar deals with the details that are sent to Nominet but nominet always send an email asking you to check the details once a year.
