![]() | it can be done, mine is currently running in a similar way for my TV & monitor (dual screen) you can get the cables off ebay just have a look around i think the guy i got mine from was called cablestar or something along those lines. Mine uses a DVI - VGA adaptor for my screen cable, and then a straight DVI - HDMI cable for the TV, however i know some TV's do have a direct VGA socket on the back if you wanted to go that way Genuine gold plated connectors and everything for around £15 for a 5m cable. | What to put... | No that should be as simple as it gets, you may need to alter the resolution to fit the screen but hdmi generally does that for you. EDIT: You don't need a cable for dual screens

![]() | As far as i know the HDMI cable automatically "sets" the resolution on the TV to something it can handle, as HDMI cables are 2-way |

| What to put... | Yes, windows 7 generally tells you if the resolution is too small/big via a notification and can sort for you.

![]() | yes but how do you get sound also from laptop to tv using cable |

| What to put... | If you are using hdmi then it will be done for you, if not then you will need a sound cable, (the green ended 1). You plug 1 end into your headphone jack into your laptop and the other in the the back of the tv.

| What to put... | Yes it should if you use hdmi. If it doesn't work then try the audio cable.

![]() | Only if your PC has a HDMI output on the graphics card. If you're using a DVI > HDMI adapter then there will be no audio, sorry!

| What to put... | Ideally though, if there was a HDMI port on the laptop the graphics card should be compatible i would of thought.
