search engine results for your site

hi, just got a .co.uk domain last night and redirected it with my referal url and was wonderin how to get results in a search engine. do you have to pay them or what.

cheers, just added it to some search engines but is there any way to make it appear near the top with a keyword or something

yep seo is your key to much to explain really but the basics is
anchor links
the more you have for the search term the better your site will do for that search word.

example: search for the word miserable failure on google
(link for results below) and see what it comes up with

http://www.google.co.uk/search?num=3...ailure&spell=1

The reason the site above is number one is because a person or people have got lots of anchors link to that site that contain the keyword miserable failure

So you see the more Anchor links you have on other peoples sites that contain your keyword of choice pointing to your domain.
the better the position for your domain on the search engines.

A anchor link is the text it says in blue underlines so that when you click on it
it send them to your site.
