iPod Touch Battery

I've just started using my partners ipod touch (3rd gen 32gb) which is 10 months old and the battery appears to be crap if i'm doing anything but listening to music.

Off a full charge, I'm getting about 45 minutes play time of angry birds, with wifi turned off.

I'm just running the apple battery test (leaving music playing non stop) and it's been on for 5 hours now and the battery indicator hasn't moved so in apple's eyes I’m guessing there’s nothing wrong with it but is this common when it comes to using apps?

Does anyone know anything I can do to improve it? Or worsen it so I could get it replaced by apple?

Appreciate any info.

WEN EVER YOU PLAY GAMES OR GO ON WIFI IT CANES THE BATTERY, MY IPHONE I HAVE TO CHARGE ONCE A DAY AT LEAST, take it to the apple store and theyll do a battery test for you etc ( but dont phone up before you go as they wont see you) it is great service there as i took my iphone on sat which devolped a crack on the outer casing, without a quibble they swapped it straight for a new one.
also other than that download battery doctor which trickle charges your touch or phone to 100% and does seem to make a differance etc.

thanks for the info.. just a shame there isn't an apple shop anywhere close by and i hate dealing with my nearest apple dealer

looks like i've now got plans for the weekend lol

When playing games turn the brightness down to about 50-75% it saves loads of battery!

my battery lasts 30 mins on fb, and i can't go to apple cause mines jail-broken, anyone know how to de-jailbreak an ipod?

You sync it to iTunes don't you?

My iPhone 4's battery doesn't seem too great, maybe that's cos I've just got it and am using it loads though.
