Checked my Netgear and that doesn't seem to be the problem as other devices are picking up the signal... Any suggestion i would be happy.. Thank you Tippy

| 13/10/2010 - Baby Born!! | Nope, it doesn't find a wireless connection, so it can't ask for a password... It just searches & searches and nothing comes up.... Nope its not on airplane mode... Its driving me crazy!! Tippy

| Super Moderator | You upgraded to 3.1.3 is that the latest software that the orignal iPhone can update to? Was gonna suggest update to 4.0.1 but it probably couldn't handle it. Maybe try a full restore to factory settings? Back up everything in iTunes first though.

| blah blah blah | My final idea was going to be taking your iphone to somewhere else that has wifi e.g. mcdonalds or a friends just to see if it works there. Would be a shame to get a new one if it was actually working and maybe the router was the problem although you said it is working ok. oh, another idea.....switch the router off and wait 30 secs then switch on and wait for it to reboot before trying the iphone just incase it was a dns? fault. I've had that with laptops.

![]() | Iphones below 3g or it was 3gs are not able get upgrades to 4.X IOS Due they are to old and simply cant support the functions. You should either take the phone to an Apple store, or telephone company store (depending on where you bought it and if it still has warranty etc paid repair/fix plan) from them or anyone by default. But it most likley is not needed since it happend due to an update, there should be many others expericing the same problem I recommend that you Google for example keywords such as: "Iphone 2G Wifi no work 3.1.3" or full sentences, there should be others who has encounter this problem before. (there exists numerous of threads about WiFi connection issues threads on google) Do what arcticfox said as well, thats not a bad idea at all, to verify it's not your other electronic gears are damaged or needs some update or reset. |

you could have said all that in 4 letters JFGI I had similar problems - it can be worth doing a hard reset on your router. (worked for me here at work!)

![]() | icks i think he's saying he can,t connect to any wifi so why would his router have to do with that?

| Super Moderator | Worth a try though surely? Best to go in rather than phone them, they are more likely to do something then.
