![]() ![]() ![]() | Android market question...I tried to buy over 10 apps when i got my new smartphone the other day. Most of the payments went through but about 4 or 5 didn't and i cant get them. I rang by bank and they said the ones that didn't go through were with "Google" and the ones that did were with "Google Checkout", and only the latter accepts Visa Debit (as opposed to Visa credit cards). Why would any of these payments go to just "Google" - i dont get it, did Google develop some of these and want recompense or is something else going on here? Does anyone have any insight into this at all please? Thanks

![]() ![]() ![]() | Yes but Google Checkout is a service for traders and developers to make their money through. It is seperate from Google, although of course they are part of the same company. Just like Google Maps and Google Analytics and Google Shopping all operate independently of each other but with a little synergy organised from above. Classic corporate MO. So why would some of these apps be billed through just "Google", when the rest are being billed through "Google Checkout"?

| Mini Mac | I'm guessing that Google created the apps. |
