Imac and CS5

Hi ,
I just wondering if someone could advise me what to do .
I am about to buy imac and I never used apple OS , but I know I can have both Windows and Mac on it.
I also want to buy Adobe CS 5
My question is , for what system would you buy CS5 for MAC or Windows ?
and why 'd you decide it like this ?

For any advise thank you in advance

Rona

Decide which OS you are going to use most of the time and install it on this one. It'll be a pain to have to reboot just to use photoshop.

I've heard that adobe software works better on Mac OS, but I dont really know as i've never tested.

As it's an iMac I'd say get it on Mac, as you can always run software to run Windows in Mac OSX (e.g. VMWare Fusion) and there's no point buying an iMac if you're just going to run Windows on it

Installing Windows on a Mac is not a good idea, trust me. You'll face too much problems with Bootcamp and that can affect your iMac's performances.

Photoshop works better on a Mac mostly because its more stable than any operating system. And according to my experience, it doesn't really matter what OS you use if the software you use is available for both platforms, you get used to it really quickly.

You can install programs like Wine and CrossOver Games for some windows application on a Mac but a Windows based PC would be better in your case.

But of course, the choice is yours, I am just advising you make a choice between Windows and a Mac and not having both of them on a Mac .

Don't know if this post is a bit late but you can partition your HD so you can have both windows and mac on the same HD without any problems. They will run like normal but will potentially give you less space to store files/programs on each operating system. I would recommend sticking with Mac, there are programs like winebottler which can sometimes allow you to run windows files.
