![]() | Make FireFox FasterHey guys, just trying to be helpful and if you didn't know already or haven't done it alreayd, here's how you can make Firefox faster, and yes this may go up on PS3ForFree because I like to do stuff like that. Sorry is some spelling is wrong, but I'm tired, really tired. From what I know this works with any version of Firefox, but I can't guarantee anything. First go to your address bar and type about:config. A message should pop up saying Here Be Dragons, continue on. Type into the search bar "pipelining" it should bring up 4 results, network.http.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests network.http.pipelining.ssl network.http.proxy.pipelining Change the first one by double clicking it, the value should change to true, modify the second one by double cliking and enter the number 30. Also change the last one to true. Once done click on a blank bit of the page, and rightclick. Click New> and create a new Integer. When it asks for a preference name paste nglayout.initialpaint.delay and press ok. Set the next value to 0 and you're set. What you've just done is set FireFox to download 30 files simotaneusly when you enter a webpage, rather than 8. Many tutorials will tell you to set it as a ridiculously high number, thsi will crash FireFox upon entering large sites or Flash/Java heavy sites. Enjoy! And yes, I knwo that grabarail posted this 2 years ago, but that was 2 years ago, and I already typed all this before I did an eXceem search |
