![]() ![]() ![]() | HTACCESS redirects questionHi folks. I've got a few domains at the moment for PS3. I have a website on ps3forfree.org.uk. But I also have playstation3-for-free.co.uk and playstation3-for-free.com. I was thinking of setting up a new host for playstation3-for-free.com and park playstation3-for-free.co.uk on it as well. I think those domains are more SEO/user friendly than ps3forfree.org.uk, so I was going to set up the site on playstation3-for-free.com. But I don't want to lose all the backlinks that ps3forfree.org.uk has. So would I be able to set up a 301 redirect on the htaccess file to point all incoming links for ps3forfree.org.uk to playstation3-for-free.com? I would need to point the nameservers for all 3 domains to be the same host, but would I also need to park ps3forfree.org.uk? Hoping someone knows the answer.

| Mini Mac | To set up the redirect you will not need to change the nameservers. Simply add the following line to the .htaccess file Code: redirect 301 / http://www.newdomain.com

![]() ![]() ![]() | But If I was going to cancel the current host for ps3forfree.org.uk, I would need to point the domain to the new host.

| Mini Mac | Yes if you were moving hosts completely then you would have to point to the new host and redirect from that host
