Burning a Windows Media Audio/Video file to DVD

Hey guys,

I am having trouble finding out how to burn a Windows Media Audio/Video file to a DVD to play on my DVD Player. I can burn stuff fine when they have been copied off a DVD and have the .VOB files etc. But I can't work this out at all!

Could anybody reccommend a free piece of software to help me out and guide me through the steps. Thanks a lot in advance

Do you already have the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders and just want to burn them to DVD?

If, yes then download this free DVD video burner - Free DVD Video Burner: free dvd video burning software , install and run it, put AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS in one folder and then select that folder and burn it

If you don't have the AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS folders and all that stuff, just the videos, you will first need to convert them to DVD. Download this Free Video to DVD Converter: бесплатный конвертер видео в формат dvd install, run it and choose your Video files and convert them to DVD. Then do the thing above ^^ and burn it to DVD

Cheers Djoscar - This is what my Video TS folder looks like:

Quote:
VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_1.IFO
VTS_01_1.vob
VTS_01_2.vob etc...
VTS_01_5.vob
I don't have an audio TS folder as you describe, Will the software work?

Yeah it should. i just tried converting and burning a small video and it seemed to work.

You can just create an empty AUDIO_TS folder next to the VIDEO_TS folder and it will work. the video i just done had no sound, so it just had an empty audio folder.

Okay, do you have windows movie maker? Or live movie maker?

if not, download it from microsoft - Movie Maker - Windows Live

then install it, and you might need to restart your PC.

then just add your video to the movie maker and then go to Save Movie>Burn a DVD..

@cameron - im not sure mate. if there is no audio_ts folder then there is no sound..

If you're using Vista, you're even more screwed because it has a program inside it that make sit impossible to use copyrighted stuff.
