000webhost/wordpress

does anybody on here use wordpress on 000webhost??

I am struggling with the wordpress ftp settings, the site is up but I am having problems installing plugins directly through the site!!

I can ftp them normally but that is a bit long winded!

ill warn u now soon as that wordpress starts moving there processors they will pull it.
rem loads before having probs with free hosting and wordpress.

thanks, will probably upgrade to paid (£2 a month), but must remember to put supercache on!!

£17 for a year with 500mb not tempting you? I think there is a plugin that can compress wordpress posts or something too.

as to wordpress on 000webhost, i ran into a hell load of problems a few months back to do with ftp stuff, cant remember what exactly though.

Dude, he is talking about hosts, I am not a web host and so what is wrong with strongly liking a service and recommending it when it arises? I didn't even say a companies name, so what is the problem?

I am really looking to do this for 100% free, even though work is picking up I am still without any spare cash at the end of each month, and I feel I have spent enough over the years on hosting etc etc.

That's cool, and totally understandable.

Have you tried looking at Freehostia? I used to use them and I can say that they were the best free host that I have used (out of about 5 or 6).

000webhost is probably the best free webhost out there.

If you can run a blog there or not depends on how much traffic your gonna get(doh!)
