Macbook doesn't recognise files!

Hello,

I copied about 11GB worth of music successfuly onto a big external hard drive from my Windows laptop.

When I go into the external hard drive on the Macbook, the folder I just copied is completely empty!

Thing is, it copied it fine because my brother can see and play the files on his new aluminium Macbook Pro.

The empty folder is exactly that. It doesn't recognise there are files there at all, it says it's clean as a whistle.

Very strange. It was my "iTunes Music" folder, by the way, if that helps.

Thank you.
