Installing an Internal Wifi Antenna

Ok, so I'm upgrading my friends laptop with some more ram and adding an internal Wifi card and antenna. The antenna needs to go inside the laptop case behind the LCD screen.

I've taken the screen apart, but there's a foil cover on the inside of the case.

Has anyone done this before?

I'm not sure whether to attach the pads of the antenna onto the foil, or to cut slots and put them straight onto the plastic case.

Tried looking for a guide but can't find much. It's an Acer Travelmate 2200 if that's any help.

when ive replaced dell screens the wifi connectors were on the foil (may act as a antenna).

Ah, interesting. Somewhere I'd read that if they're attached to the foil it could cause a closed loop and short out the antenna so it wouldn't work. It was a guide fitting to a Dell, and the guy cut holes in the foil.
