I no a while ago they where giving these away for free, does any1 know where I can get one for free and if they are any good or can reccomend a better one, I want pay as you go not contract.

That's the previous thread, not sure if they're still free or not.

It's good for a little bit of access here and there as far as I'm aware, but is by no means a replacement for proper broadband.

They give you a discount code to enter which reduces it to £0 + delivery if I recall correctly.

I tried to buy one but it kinda screwed up with the payment details/address.

What do u all think of this t-mobile one i mite buy it its £25 for the Dongle then PAYG £2 per day and u get up to 3GB on tht day before paying another £2 I think, any1 know of any better deals, also it dosent say on the site or at least I cant see it, does any1 know if u wud top this up just like u wud a normal sim card? also does it expire after 30 days like on 3??

Sorry it didn't work...maybe the deal is off? I just tried registering for a new account with new details and no e-mail came through.

In terms or recommending deals, I have no idea - probably best leave that to someone else. I generally avoid mobile broadband services like the plague

ye i tried registering again it says cannot validate, it must be all over.

Really wat u have against mobile broadband, I only want a Pay as u go one for the odd time i mite go out with my laptop just 2 connect 2 the net on the go it wud prob take me months 2 use up £10 top up at £2 per day. Tht is y i also wanted 2 know wat is the minimum top-up and if it expires?

I should really still be on tht exam ban thing I av chemistry 2moro and i have done nothing all morning

Rubbish! I wrote a long reply but my wireless connection dropped and it disappeared

The jist of it was I worked for O2 Broadband tech support (ADSL2+ home service) and some idiot made us deal with mobile broadband (although it's very VERY different). People were being sold it as a replacement to home broadband - customers and store staff really had no idea about it and we got all the stick!

I mean, people took it on holiday abroad with them and downloaded things - a series of prison break. Apart from being surprised it stayed connected for that long, it also landed them with a bill for a few grand. Nice.

I assume the PAYG would be the same as a phone, top up...use as and when. It'll probably run out sooner...maybe 30 days? I have no idea tho, check the T+Cs?
