Need help with windows boot...

Hello,

I've had Windows 7 Installed on my computer, but due to it crashing everytime i install a software, i've decided to install Windows XP on another partition, just for testing out some programs and stuff. I had now idea that Microsoft has used a different boot system for Windows Vista and up systems... So, now that i've installed XP, there is no Windows 7 to choose in the boot menu.. which is very bad, because in XP, i have problems installing my WLAN drivers and now i have to sit next to my router with a wire plugged into my laptop...

I have found a fix for this (Windows fix and Windows fix) which are both supposed to work with windows 7 and not only with Windows vista... Many people have used it and it worked for everyone, but me...

OK, if you go to that website (Windows fix) and scroll down to 'Resolution' it will show steps how to fix it. The problem is that i can complete the first step, but all steps afterwards are just not working!... I do everything as told and when i enter the information given for step 2 this comes up...

I have made sure that 'Bcdedit' is in D/windows/system32....

Has anyone else had a problem like this?

Am i doing something wrong??

Thanks in advance!

where? on the same disk?

if so, the MBR (master boot record) in that disk was overwritten by Windows XP and that new partition has been flagged as the active / bootable one.

In XP, download and install .Net Framework 2.0 and EasyBCD

follow this windows 7 forum tutorial
METHOD TWO:
When Windows 7 is Installed First
step 8 and forward:
