Adsense in Wordpress

I am trying to put adsense on my wordpress blog so I can generate some money to improve my site, but I am having trouble with displaying the adsense unit.

I have tried usuing the Adsense Manager plugin but it doesn't seem to work!
Anyone have any ideas?

I am trying toget the adsense unit to display on the right hand sidebar.

all the post have a big blank spcae and then bold advertisment text on them

Right I tried putting the code for the adsense unit in to a normal HTML page to test it, but nothing appears where the adsense code is added. Anyone know why?

works fine on my wordpress blog. I just pasted the code into a text widget

try WordPress › AdSense Manager « WordPress Plugins

it's a plugin that allows you to add adsense as a widget.

edit: or do what funky said.

where you wanting to add it to posts instead of adding it as a widget?

That's what I tried but I could seem to get it to work.
I think that there is a problem with the code I am using, but I am copying a pasting it straight from google?!?

Like I said it's working on my site so code is fine!

it takes a while for the ads to appear!! give it 24 hrs!!!! (especially if you have it set to text ads only)

I use a plugin called All-In-One adsense and YPN

It works a treat on my blog. You simply add you publisher ID to the plugin and choose how many ads you want and it does the rest.
