Would highly recommend my Samsung nc10:

http://www.exceem.co.uk/forums/i-got...iejeebies.html

Great size, runs everything really well, seriously good battery life + well within your requirements (10" screen, win xp, 1gb but i upgraded to 2gb for £10 and a huge 160gb hdd). I use it daily for everything and have no problems, only downside is no CD/DVD drive however you cant get around this with most installations and you can get a compact external drive if you wish for under £50.

Or my Advent 5431, only comes with 1GB RAM but once you up it to 2GB you instantly get a 700+mb graphics card which would be ideal for your graphics work i'm guessing, and i still run photoshop, MSN, firefox, and download all at the same time

I just selected this netbook for a custom order (only 12 greens!):

Stuff-UK.net - Products

I read quite a few reviews about it being pretty good, 120GB hdd, dual core and 1gb ram. Very nice deal for the price.

let us know which laptop you decide

my mate has a netbook, and he regularly uses dreamweaver and flash, which run fine. I'm assuming photoshop will run smoothly on it also, but takes up quite alot more juice, so I'm not sure

Thank you everyone for all your help and assistance, ive decieded to go for the Samsung nc10... ordered it yesterday from ebuyer.com, got it today morning its an amazing laptop ... my only concern is the processor speed, with technology moving on quickly, would it be possible in future to upgrade the processor?

Funky has a spectacular aura about
If you got the money get a Mac, I recently got one after wanting one for ages and I'm well pleased with it. They are more expensive but it's a far better operating system and you are less likely to need to upgrade it in 12 months time when the next version of windows comes out and forces you to upgade. I know plenty of people using older mac laptops and run the latest version of os x with no problems at all.

Just read your last post oops too late now

Nah mate the only things you can upgrade in a laptop which are accessible are the HDD + RAM as far as I am aware.
