![]() | Website buildingI worked in the IT industry for over 10 years, leaving in 2003, and it hasn't helped me one little bit. I have looked through many posts and in most cases I haven't a clue what most of you guys are talking about. Just shows how things progress I guess. Can you tell me what software or language you have used to create your websites and how much it costs to host them please? I have used only Frontpage in the past but unless it's something like C++ or Java I'll have a pop at anything. In advance.....Thanks |

![]() | Just use Wordpress and there is tons of FREE templates, and you may even edit them. Thats the easiest way. Thats if your just looking for a simple website e.g. a freebie site |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Don't use Frontpage! The link in my sig has quite a bit of info as well for building websites. The easiest way to learn HTML is buy a good book. It's really quite easy. If you just want to go ahead and build a site without learning anything, then just use a template. but if you want to understand what the template is doing, then you'll need to learn HTML and CSS as a minimum.

![]() | I agree that frontpage is not the way to go. Your site will end up looking nothing like it does when you design it. Dreamweaver is pretty good. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Dreamweaver can be pretty good. But for a newbie all it lets you do is drag and drop. The code it generates is usually pretty bloated with lots of unnecessary HTML/CSS, so if you don't know about code then you'll leave it in when it should really be changed.
