 | Keyboard help....Hi this isn't freebie-related but can someone help me? I've re-installed Windows due to a trojan on my computer and now my keyboard has reverted to how it use to be. The @ symbol is above my right shift yet when i hit that with shift, it comes up as " And vice versa for the " symbol. Also, # comes up instead of the pound symbol which i still cannot find! how can i change the meanings of each button to correspond with how it is displayed on my keyboard??

 | Re: Keyboard help....my keybord set itself to that awhile ago aswell, it something to do with restoring to default USA settings as their @ is where the " on ours is (apparently). i don't have a soloution for you though but try googling "Keyboard US to UK setting"

I think your keyboard settings are set for the US and not UK. In the Control Panel of windows can you change the settings in the Regional and Language Options? It may say its current format is English (united states), just change it to English (United Kingdom)

| Re: Keyboard help....It is in regional and language settings then choose text input and languages when you add the keyboard layout (english (united kingdom)) you have to make sure you also set it as the default language in the bar at the top otherwise you will still be set to usa
