Anyone had problems....

With the mains adapter supplied with the iPhone 3G? Mine charges and syncs when plugged into the PC, but refuses to charge from the wall. Any ideas?

Cheers

Pay your electricity bill then turn the socket on?

Not had any problem with the wall charger on the original iPhone, don't have a 3g though, sorry.

Maybe there is something wrong with the plug.

Yeah, I need to put 50p in the meter.

The only thing I can find about it is something to do with the 3G only being compatible with USB 2.0 cables. But since I'm using everything that was supplied with the phone itself, this shouldn't be an issue should it?

Thanks Tippy, this did cross my mind. Looks like I'll be getting the bus into town today and paying a visit to the Carphone Warehouse. I bet they say something stupid like "we can't just replace the plug, we have to return the whole package"

I'll let you know how I get on.

If they have any common sence they will just give you a new plug as its a new phone and still in the warrenty.

Let us know how you get on!

It was a faulty adapter.
