 | AppleCare for MacBookI'm looking to purchase this next week but not sure where to get it from.. You've got apple at £200 (i think), my local apple retailer at £150 or ebay at £100. Has anyone ever purchased applecare from ebay ? I've seen a couple of american adds selling it cheap, stating they send the code over to you. Anyone got any expereience in this ? Thanks

 | Re: AppleCare for MacBookI will be buying Applecare when I get my Macbook next month, and will more than likely buy from eBay. If you buy it from an Apple shop then it is ridiculously overpriced, and the only real difference is that you get a box with a little leaflet and a piece of paper with the code. The whole Applecare servicing is done online anyway, so you don't need anything but the code. I would personally say eBay is your best bet, check their feedback and ask questions if necessary but also make sure that the Applecare you would be buying is for the correct Macbook, as different 'versions' are sold.

Purchased it and paid, got an email about 10 minutes ago with the code in and turns out the code has already been registered  I've emailed them to get it sorted and i've had a fast reply saying it will be sorted within 24 hours but I'm starting to regret this already

| Re: AppleCare for MacBookStill nothing but suppose there's still 12 hours to go.. as for it been a genuine mistake, not something you'd expect off someone selling 28 copies.. if you've got 28 codes ready (which they should be as its buy now), then sure he should have another code ready for me straight away, not sure what the wait is for..
