I still reckon that posting (Royal Mail - not email) a CD with all the files you used to build your website to yourself, recorded delivery and left unopened is the best way.
Everytime you update the site, you do the same.....

Quick and easy, and relatively cheap....

Apparently posting stuff to yourself isn't proof of anything as these days it's easy enough to open and seal an envelope without making it look like you've touched it. I was looking up copyright law earlier because of what I'm going through and apparently mailed copies of work do not mean anything in court.

So what does mean something in court.

I would imagine that if they were sealed and had the post mark on them, they'd be pretty good evidence.

Alternatively, put them in a bank vault

A lot of their other pages have content taken from all of the place but they've recently added a disclaimer to the bottom of their site saying:

"Please note should you want to copy anyhing on this page please feel free to do as long as you provide a reciprocal link. To see what your rights are under British law click here"

Considering this was added after they were accused of copyright infringement.. they've stolen a lot more content than just mine by the looks of it.

Re: Website Plagiarism

hmm, while having a little nosey about on google trying to find my site, I was a bit confused when I saw the name on another site. So, off I go and have a look at where my name is to see that th "offender" had simply copied and pasted my "FAQs" section straight onto his site (I say his because I know who it is ).

So, should I be flattered that he's chosen to copy and paste or should I be asking him why he's been so stupid as to leave my websites name on part of it instead of changing it to his own? geez lol.

I dont imagine the rest of the site will be original content either then
