Noob-ish photoshop question!

Hey again,

Right, I'm probobly the only person that doesn't know how to do this..

On photoshop, I wanna make an image of like all 3 consoles together. At the mo I have 3 separate images, one of a wii, one of a ps3 and another of an xbox, but I wanna like merge the 3 into just one image.

Loadsa other people have done this before incase I haven't made any sense?!

Thanks in advance

Re: Noob-ish photoshop question!

flatten the image, or merge down, if your talking about layers you already have? other wise just paste them onto one picture and they will appear in different layers if your using adobe.

if your using psp, i think yu have to create the layers individually, then paste the images onto them, i don't use psp much though..

Re: Noob-ish photoshop question!

Makes a new image, and copy the pictures of the consoles into the new image, then position the layers as you want and save as.

I'm not sure if this what you meant

Re: Noob-ish photoshop question!

Yeah it's fairly simple to do, jsut create a blank image, use the little black arrow drag tool and click each image and drag over to the blank image

I've created a new image, now how do I stick 3 different images onto this one image? Maybe a step by step? Sorry I know I sound really noobish

Thanks again..

with your new image don't maximise it.. Make it so you can still see the main photoshop window. Open your other images in photoshop and drag them into your new image. Open the layers pane and you should be able to resize, colourize and generally tart up each of the images you've added in by selecting the relevant layer.

Re: Noob-ish photoshop question!

When I opened another image the previous image dissapears and the new image comes up.. How do I have multiple images open on the same screen if that makes sense?

Thanks Victoria

Re: Noob-ish photoshop question!

Click the restore button from the top right corner of the image. There will be the close/restore/minimise for the main photoshop application and just under it there will be a set of buttons for the image. Like in MS Word, you can close a document but still have MS Word open.

This button:

Re: Noob-ish photoshop question!

each image should be in it's own window. You have a minimise, close and an inbetweeny option in the top right hand corner. Go for the inbetweeny one and resize the window so you can see all the things you have open.

Hope that makes sense for now ... Would post a screenshot but am on my touch

There might also be an option in view to show all - that might tile all the windows so you can see them all at once.

Edit; LOL thanks omairt for doing that - that's just what I was trying to describe!

Re: Noob-ish photoshop question!

Using the move tool (press V), simply drag a picture from one window to another.

Or press CTRL+A to select the whole image, then CTRL+C to copy, and when on the blank image, CTRL+V to paste.
